About

flourish [flur-ish], verb

  1. to be in a vigorous state; thrive
  2. to do your thang, live your life, and enjoy the moment to the fullest, etc.

Ok so I may have made up the second definition, but hey, I think its a good one.

While I work incredibly hard to achieve my goal of becoming a physician, I refuse to sacrifice the things I enjoy along the way. Thus, I strive to “work hard, and flourish” just to keep a little balance in my life.

I started this blog when I went to Guatemala for a summer research project in order to share my travel experience with my friends, family, and I guess any other randos that come across my page somehow. I sporadically continued to use this blog to share some of the highlights (and lowlights) of medical school, and aim to do the same throughout residency.

You can expect posts about travel, my experiences/advice about careers in medicine, food (I’m that friend that takes a picture of almost every meal), art/DIY projects and more. I apologize in advance for any long lapses in between posts–I’m a busy lady!–but I hope you find my posts at least somewhat entertaining/helpful/interesting. Thanks for reading!
